I think I’ve reached that plain in life where everything gets a little tiring. Not so much physically tiring but rather a mental strain in which the only thing I can cling to in life has become my faith and my marriage. I’ve lost a little ground in life and in an effort to gain it all back I attempt to cling to the familiar hoping to be fulfilled with something..anything to fill this void, but it would seem that in the process I’ve lost a bit of myself.

Truth...The Pursuit

I see now how the weight of this world can be so heavy that it ends of scarring an individual for the duration of his/her life. I can see now that if it is allowed to permeate your very existence then this life and it’s burdens can often take from you the things you deserve in life, the things you’ve worked for. What funny is that even though you can see that you’re losing ground and that something has gone amiss on this journey you often find yourself powerless to exact or inject if you will any semblance of coruscant vitality into this pit that you find yourself.

Although it may be rough I can say that He is still faithful and still kind, piece by piece I’ll put it all together and eventually as it pertains to this situation I’ll make my way out of the darkness to find my own personal truth in this situation.

“And Jesus said unto them … , “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.”

How many times have you heard or read those words? A hundred, a thousand..if you’re like me you would have said..”a million”! Now here comes the kicker, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a situation and just moaned about it, I mean just absolutely complained and saying how unfair this is and using the old adage “why me?!”. This is what I want to talk about today, my whole purpose in writing this blog article today, is to remind you that no matter what the situation its never enough to just say “I’m beaten”, “Ive lost” or “Why Me”..Why Not you! I think it’s important that we all take a step back and look at ourselves from a different perspective, if we challenged ourselves more in the face of adversity where would we be in life. Could we have attained all those goals we set for ourselves throughout our lives? This is where the faith portion of comes in, instead of complaining and saying “I can’t do this” why not face this issue head on and exercise your faith and make that mountain move! Why not give that a try today? I know I will at some point today I will be met with a challenge, I’m sure of it, I’ll do all i can to allow my faith to be manifested in-spite of my fear and anger.

MarriageI a word where the word faithful is throw around like a four letter word ZionReborn Aims to give us married folds 4 tips on how to stay faithful!

I a word where the word faithful is throw around like a four letter word ZionReborn Aims to give us married folds 4 tips on how to stay faithful!

1: Maturity!

If you want to make a marriage work you must at least be equally yolked. Its an old biblical theory that today means in order to stay true and stay faithful, first you both must be mature enough to get married. If you have any doubts, before saying I do…don’t. The doubts are a way of telling you that you are not ready for marriage, or perhaps this is not the right person to marry. Perhaps, the love is not strong enough within for this person. Don’t rush into anything you’re not ready for, as this is a sure fire recipe for disaster. Think of it this way, why would you start a marriage when you are already unhappy? You’re entering into an eternal Bond with someone and else and GOD! God doesn’t take this lightly, for he notes;

I the Lord Hate divorce

Yea - Thats you - Flirting!...tisk, tisk

Step 2 – You Freakin’ FLIRT!

Do not flirt. You are married now. Think of how you would feel if you caught your spouse flirting with another man/woman. This will also lead to the possibility of being unfaithful, should the flirting go too far. This stuff was cure when you were in college or younger, at this point as a married individual you’ve got greater responsibilities to yourself, your faith and your spouse! Carry that with you wherever you go it will help you remember how to carry yourself, as you carry your loved one’s heart with you wherever you go.

Step 3 – THIS MAY BE JUST FOR US MEN(and some women..lol)

Do not put yourself in the position of being alone with the opposite sex. This can lead to the act of being unfaithful, without much thought or action. It will also put doubt into your spouses mind, should he/she find out. I suppose you have heard the old saying; “What is good for the goose is good for the gander!”, well this can apply to cheating. He/she may decide to get even, should they doubt. If you being real(if not make your exit now) we all know that part of being faithful begins with NOT putting yourself in bad positions, former athletes can attest to this, fi you put yourself in a bad position in the sports world what happens?…you fail. Half the battle is winning the mental game, challenging your flesh do do what it does not want to do. be minded, this will not be an easy task I don’t care who you are, your flesh has something to say each time you’re in situations such as these. Be strong of mind and will.

Step 4 – Look before you leap!

In summary, to stay faithful, always think of your spouse first. Would he/she approve of your behavior? Would you approve if you should observe your spouse acting in this manner? Your behavior is the key to staying faithful to your spouse. Think before you act, in order to stay faithful to your spouse.

Well,

here’s an interesting note, I’m in the middle of purchasing a new car some of you might argue what exactly does that have to do with God? Well to be truthful I believe that anything that does not affect your destiny is up to you. I doubt it would concern God if I bought a blue car or a pink car? Not very much that’s how much it would concern him.

To Buy or Not To Buy, but can the process teach me patience?

I went ahead and started pricing some vehicles — low and behold I found a few which I though were great for the year and the price I save my search and decide that in the AM I’m getting up to go purchase my new vehicle! But WAIT I call before I get to the dealer to make sure they still have it in stock and of course the dealer sates.. “Ah Man you missed it, someone just bought it”. Be minded I’ve done this process 4 times in the last 3 days and each time someone buys the vehicle before I get to it.

Now this is where God comes in, recently I’ve been asking the Lord to teach me patience! LOL Well There we go. You see sometimes when you ask for something God isn’t just going to make it materialize out of thin air and all of a sudden you are the jack of all trades. No, No, No my friend, instead God presents opportunities for you to learn patience! If you ask him to teach you how to love, chances are you’re not going to wake up in the morning with a new profound eclectic love for humanity instead he presents you with opportunities to learn ad to love.

As a prime example take for instance the verse int he bible written by the apostle Paul who declares, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”…(Phil 4:13) but we often neglect his key words in verse 11 when he speaks of all these things he says that…wait for it…he says “I Have Learned” so this in turn lets us know that we may just have to calm our microwave philosophy down and learn to take things one day at a time keeping everything in front of us not trying to run hastily ahead of ourselves. Each day keeping in mind that somethings in life are not inherent but instead are a learned strength.

Regards.

In Today's world of Microwave Philosophy where do you stand?

Today I want to talk about waiting on God. I know now a days this is not a very popular topic in today’s microwave driven world in which

we look for everything within 2 minutes flat and if its not done in two minutes then we assume that “its not working”. Then when someone tries to throw in the notion that we have to wait a little bit or do a little bit of work for the things we want in life then heaven forbid it because we have no time for such mumbo-jumbo!

By this deep into the blog I’m sure some of us have done so self identification and have tagged yourself somewhere in the text stating “yep that’s me”. I can also raise my hand and say that I am a part of this Microwave Philosophy and I know I have to change. Everything simply can’t be done over night each plan cannot be laid out by some Johnny come lately, fly by night, sometimes hot, some times cold Philosophy!

Wait Just A Little While Longer!

I think we all(Including me) should take a step back and really take the time to lay out our Plans and ask God for direction. Its not all about what you can get and how quickly, we have to have some practicality and some method about us and the way we carry out our plans will have a direct impact on the quality of that which we ascertain.

Yes, The waiting Sucks sometimes, but often times we find that we rushed into somethings that we have not planned out correctly or have not even planned at all. We then find ourselves seeking the mind of God in an effort to stabilize this mis-fortuitous circumstance we now find ourselves in because we have run too far ahead of ourselves without allowing God time to really work things out in our lives. I for one can speak volumes on this subject not in n effort to leave some wealth of worthless self righteousness, but rather to say that I do it ALL time and today i recognized that its time to learn to wait on somethings, everything doesn’t have to be rushed We can often find ourselves in a better position if we lean to do a little bit of waiting.
